Critical openings in hydropower dam structures—such as intakes, spillway gates, sediment flushing outlets, and stilling basins—play a vital role in water regulation and flood management.
During periods of high-flow or sudden flood surges, these structures are exposed to intense hydraulic forces and sediment erosion, which can pose serious structural risks if left unchecked.
In this inspection mission, Deepinfar’s underwater ROV system was deployed to assist our client in:
Conducting 3D data acquisition of upstream intakes, spillways, and sediment outlets
Capturing high-resolution video and images for visual inspection
Supporting comprehensive structural assessment and maintenance planning
The Deepinfar ROV provides safe, efficient, and non-disruptive access to submerged zones, ensuring the integrity and long-term performance of hydropower assets.
